Make-a-Stack Stamp Class!

Make-a-Stack Stamp Class
Friday, June 11th 7:00pm - 9:30pm

Join me as Beach Mama and I host a stamping class where you will make five or ten beautiful and unique cards, absolutely perfect for end-of-year Teacher's gifts.

COST: $20 for a pack of 5 cards
$35 for a pack of 10 cards
(covers the class, the cost of materials, and one white envelope per card)

This class will be simple enough for the new or basic stamper, with a few challenges thrown in for more advanced crafters. You will leave with a pack of 5 or 10 cards with greetings of your choice (choose from Thank You, Birthday, and Thinking of You). A pack of five hand-made cards makes an extra special gift for an elementary or preschool teacher. Or use the cards yourself to express that special sentiment to someone you care about.

Please RSVP to Beach Mama or me by Monday, June 7th, as spaces are limited. For more information, leave a comment and I will e-mail you directly.

Extreme Skateboard with Brayer Technique

My six year old son is very into skateboards and snowboards. He's in the "cool dude" phase, he informs me. I recently got the Extreme Skateboard and Extreme Snowboard stamps for free through Sale-A-Bration and was dying to dive in and try them out.

I admittedly did not come up with the design for this gorgeous card on my own, so I have to credit Jen from Stamping & Scrapping with Jen for this idea. I CASE'd it and I just love the results. I have never been an expert with the brayer, so I googled some tutorials on You Tube and found some excellent ones - I learned a lot of fantastic tricks so I recommend you try it out.

I have already made several of these cards, and gave one to a little boy at his birthday party last Saturday - he loved it.

Valentines

Here are a few cards I worked on for Valentine's Day . . .

This is a simple and clean card using Stampin' Up's With All My Heart stamp set and the new Sending Love DSP (Designer Series Paper) from the Occasions Mini Catalog.

I embossed this red valentine stamp with red embossing powder and then sponged some red ink around the sides. The white background is embossed with a template from my new Stampin' Up Big Shot. I'm totally in love with it!

And this last card is my first foray into the world of vintage stamping. I have always been a bit afraid of the gorgeous "antiqued and distressed" look of so many vintage cards. But I gave it a try and realized it's not so intimidating after all. I'm really pleased with the look and am definitely up for trying this again.

All my cards are not listed in my etsy store, but if you are interested in buying any of the Valentine or other cards, you can contact me directly. All of the designs are usually in my flickr account.
